Human Still
62you prop yourself up
higher and higher and higher
and higher
and i stand below
watching you scowl when i don't bow
from the apex of your hubris you cast your stones
don't do this
don't do that
i don't you say
you follow the laws like a remedy
you cast your stones and breathe your praises
your love letter
you seem to have forgotten you're human still
you're pushing me down lower and lower and lower
and lower
you're looking down
the weight of your halo
wounding you fatal
from the cushiness of your throne you cast your stones

Oh yeah!! Great poem. Great message.
Simply awesome! I'm in a relationship like this right now. It's hard. These are great lines:
the weight of your halo
wounding you fatal
from the cushiness of your throne you cast your stones
Voted up and awesome, my friend!
the weight of your halo
wounding you fatal
Great imagery--Loved it!
Very profound and interesting. I agree with Sunnie that those who imagine themselves better than others and cast stones will quite natural have a great fall one day.
Voted up, awesome and interesting.
Me likey. :)
Oh for the one that sits high on his mountain casting stones..will certainly fall oneday..and thus become one of us the little ones...but we are not the little ones reallly..he just thought he was the big guy sitting on the mountain..it was only in his mind..
Love this Justin...

This is simply amazing. No other words for it.
"You follow the laws like a remedy" I particularly love this line. And I can feel the frustration in the duality of "you cast your stones and breathe your praises" Wonderful writing. I enjoy it so much!
