My work schedule this week has made it difficult for me to get this complete before Thursday night kick off. I am publishing it now, but will add stats and additional analysis later today or tomorrow...

Last week, the Cardinals continue to prove me wrong by continuing to win. i will continue to pick against them. This is why I'm not a professional prognosticator.

I went 8-5 Straight up, keeping up with my self-proclaimed nemesis, Pete Prisco. I had a fabulous week against the spread though, going 10-3. I was also one point off (for the third time this season) from an exact score prediction for a game, but was correct one four team scores, solidifying my lead over Prisco in this area.

Bye Weeks: Dallas, Jacksonville, Baltimore, Jets

Buffalo (5-4) at Miami (5-4)

This is likely an elimination for one of these teams. Both boast dynamic defenses and superstar rookie wide outs. In divisional games against evenly matched teams, I gotta go with the home team, but this should be one of the more competitive Thursday night games this season

Seattle (6-3) at Kansas City (6-3)

The Seahawks rediscovered their running game last week, to the tune of a franchise record 350 yards. Just in time. The Chiefs boast one of the top secondaries in football. Arrowhead is a tough place to play, but Seattle is the better team and they should be able to wear that KC defense down.

Minnesota (4-5) at Chicago (3-6)

The Bears have not won in Chicago, but, Chicago is always a tough place to play, especially for rookie quarterbacks. I think the Bears find a way in a potential shootout.

Houston (4-5) at Cleveland (6-3)

The Browns are in first place behind a three headed rushing monster and a stout defense. The Texans also boast a strong defense and a strong running game. Similar teams should make for a tough, defensive battle. Arian Foster coming off an injury and playing in the frigid code will make a difference.

San Francisco (5-4) At New York Giants (3-6)

As a rule, the team on the second game of a road trip, especially a long road trip, generally loses. But I think the 49ers are leaps and bounds better than the Giants and, while fatigue will play a factor, I think Gore will have a field day against a defense that just gave up 350 yards on the ground.

Atlanta (3-6) at Carolina (3-6-1)

The winner of this game could be in first place in the division, or, at worst, one game out. That’s how bad this division is. Don’t expect many tackles in this game. These teams stink.

Denver (7-2) at St. Louis (3-6)

This is the second straight road game for the Broncos and they are facing a creative coach and a talented front seven. That should keep things interesting… but you can only hold Peyton Manning down for so long, and the Rams don’t have the fire power to keep up.

Tampa Bay (1-8) at Washington (3-6)

The Buccaneers were a trendy pick to win the NFC South this season, but, in a team of truly bad teams, they’re downright terrible. RG3 should have a big day.

Cincinnati (5-4) at New Orleans (4-5)

The Bengals are reeling following an atrocious performance by Andy Dalton, and now they have to travel to one of the toughest places to play against a Saints team that is inconsistent. This feels like a bounce back game for the Bengals.

Oakland (0-9) at San Diego (5-4)

This is the perfect get well game for a Chargers team coming off of a bye week following a thumping by Miami. The Chargers need this one to keep pace in the west, and they get it.

Detroit (7-2) at Arizona (8-1)

Going into this week, the Cardinals opponent record is 40-42. Phonies. The Lions have the best front seven in the NFL and they’re going to remind the Cardinals that they have never won anything, just in time for Arizona to head to Seattle and lose next week as well.

Philadelphia (7-2) at Green Bay (6-3)

This is a big step up in competition for Mark Sanchez as he makes his second start for the Eagles. The Packers have hit their stride. Should be a fair amount of points, but I think the Packers break away late.

New England (7-2) at Indianapolis (6-3)

Before their bye week, the Patriots were steamrolling their opponents. I think the bye will actually kill some of that momentum as they face a tough Colts team. I see plenty of points and plenty of lead changes, but I think Andrew Luck leads the Colts to a game winning field goal as regulation expires.

Pittsburgh (6-4) at Tennessee (2-7)

The Steelers are the very definition of inconsistent, blasting two good opponents before laying an egg against the putrid Jets. Now, another road game against a putrid team. They probably win, but I don’t love this pick.
