I had a great week picking straight up last week, only choosing two games incorrectly. I did not have as much luck with the spreads.

For the second week in a row, I was one point away from choosing the exact score (I chose Carolina to win 30-24, they won 31-24).

I was correct on the scores for three teams, matching my total from last week, and tripling my lead over Prisco, whom I also beat with my straight up picks this week.

I'm taking some risks with my picks this week, but that's not to say that i am not confident. Will I be able to match my success from last week?

Bye weeks: Chiefs, Saints

Indianapolis (3-2) at Houston (3-2)

Andrew Luck has been torching secondaries all season and now faces the 22nd ranked pass defense in the Texans. Still, the Texans are home and JJ Watt will reak havoc against a poor offensive line. Texans defense will keep it close, but the Colts will be able to move the football enough to eke out the victory.

The Bengals are back home, where they are pretty much unstoppable. Licking the wounds after a blow out on the road, the Bengals should be able to stop the Panthers enough to pull out a comfortable victory at home.

I don't trust either of these teams. The Pats have been dominant at home but have two bad losses on the road. The Bills are riding high following a road win against a good Lions team. I think they ride that momentum to a victory over the middling Patriots.

The Steelers are a bad 3-2., struggling mightily against a horrific Jaguars team. They haven't looked good in really any game this season and now they're facing a browns team coming off the largest road comeback in NFL history. I don't think either defense will do much. I lke the Browns to ride the momentum to victory behind a Pro bowl candidate (!) in Bryan Hoyer.

The Buccaneers have looked better with Mike Glennon at the helm, but this is still not a great football team. The Ravens have been able to move the football this season, but the defense... especially up front, hasn't been stellar. Ravens win, but the Bucs keep it interesting.

The Packers have two impressive wins in a row, but I don't buy them. Eddie Lacy's re-emergence is nice, but something seems off with Aaron Rodgers. The Dolphins are back home after a week in London and a bye. The probable return of Moreno against a soft run defense spells an upset here.

The Broncos of 2014 finally looked like the Broncos of 2013 last week against a good Cardinals team. Now, they go on the road against arguably the worst team in football. The only question here is whether the Jets will score or be shut out for a second straight week.

The Titans allowed the biggest comeback at home in NFL history last week. That's hard to recover from, especially against a Jaguars team that's been playing better of late. Blake Bortles and the Jags get their first victory here.

This is a tough one. The Lions are coming off a tough loss and now are going to play without Mega Tron. The Vikings will have Bridgewater back and that should help them offensively. But, the Lions have the better defense, and that makes the difference here.

Century Link is a house of horrors for Tony Romo and, because the Seahawks have the top rushing defense in the league, he could be throwing the ball a lot. Seattle hasn't looked dominant but they continue to win. I think they win here, too, but closer than many might think.

The Chargers are the hottest team in football right now and the Raiders are a doormat. New coach or not, they just don't have the horses to compete in this one.

The Redskins competed at home against the world champs and Kirk Cousins rebounded nicely. But, now they must go across the country to face a good Cardinals team. I think they keep up, but ultimately, fall short.

The Bears have been wildly inconsistent this season and it's been to even guess what they're going to do. The Falcons have been atrocious on the road but unstoppable at home. This game should feature a lot of points and a ton of broken tackles.

The Eagles have looked out of sync on offense the last couple of weeks and the defense has been bad from the get go. The Giants have been explosive since the first two weeks of the season. I think they outscore the Eagles here.

The 49ers just haven't looked right all season and Colin Kaepernick has regressed. Plus, they have 9 field goals in the last two games, meaning that they aren't finishing drives. That will cost them on the road against a divisional opponent and the rams squeak by in my upset pick of the week.
